US-131 Detour InformationRoad Construction Project
The Michigan Department of Transportation is replacing the US-131 bridge over the Manistee River between Cadillac and Traverse City. US-131 will be closed to all traffic from September 8, 2009 until approximately Memorial Day weekend in May 2010.
Alternate Travel Routes
For traffic traveling north on US-131 heading to Traverse City take exit 176 to M-115 west to M-37 north.
For traffic heading to the east side of Traverse City including the East Bay area and Acme area, and for traffic continuing north on US-131 to Antrim County and Bellaire area, follow directional signs off US-131 to M-55 east to M-66, north to M-72 and west back to US-131.
