Spruce Run at Grand Traverse Resort and Spa

spruce_run.jpg

Grand Traverse Resort and Spa's original course, Spruce Run, began as the Acme Public Golf Course, was expanded to 18 holes in the late 1970s, then redesigned in 1979 by former University of Michigan Golf Coach, William Newcomb.  During development of Gary Player's, The Wolverine, it was shortened to par-70.  The name Spruce Run is a reflection of numerous fir and spruce trees that line its fairways.  Spruce Run features water on 13 holes.
