The Traverse City area hosts a wide variety of festivals throughout the year. By far our largest annual event is the National Cherry Festival, held in early July in downtown Traverse City. Other major celebrations throughout the year are listed below, with links to the official sites if available.

"Cultural Reflections"
This traveling exhibit of Inuit art is drawn from the extensive collection of about 1,000 pieces held by Dennos Museum Center. Approximately 20 stone sculptures and 30 prints by artists of the Canadian Arctic are featured.
Rosenstein Exhibit at the Dennos Museum Center
The Dennos Museum Center at Northwestern Michigan College presents a sales exhibition of the work of Mordechai Rostenstein. This versatile artist creates award-winning limited edition lithographs, which reflect the rich and ancient traditions of Judaism. His vibrant shapes and colors enhance synagogue interiors, tapestries, paintings, murals,and silk screen prints.
The Dennos Museum is open daily 10am to 5pm and Sundays 1pm-5pm. Admission is $4.00 for adults, $2.00 for children.
Traverse City: Yesterday
A photographic and historical artifact exhibition featuring photos by S.E. Wait, Traverse City's "Renaissance Man". Traverse City is depicted in the early days, reflecting life in the last half of the 19th century. General admission $1.50-$3.00.
"Perfect Timing"
Presented by the Leelanau Players, this is a comedy following the trials and tribulations of an art critic, her frightening German maid and her refreshingly sane secretary. For more information call (2321) 633-4155
NMC Jazz Ensembles Concert
Featuring the Jazz Lab Band, Jazz Big Band and Vocal Jazz Ensemble. Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for seniors 62 yrs. and over and children under 12 years.

Same Time, Next Year at Old Town Playhouse
One of the most popular romantic comedies of the century, Same Time, Next Year ran four years on Broadway, was a successful motion picture, and remains one of the most widely produced plays in history. It follows a love affair between people who rendezvous once a year. Twenty five years of manners, morals and attitudes are hilariously mirrored by the lovers.
