This exhibition draws from the museum's collection of art by the Woodland Indians.  Not only does this exhibition include excellent examples of quillwork and sweetgrass basketry from both Michigan and Ottawa artists, but also prints by artists of the famed woodland or Anishinabe style of painting, such as Norval Morrisseau and Roy Thomas.

Haunted Hayride will take place from 6-10 pm every Friday and Saturday in October leaving from Hearth and Vine Cafe across from the Tasting Room.  The price is $10/per person for an evening of fright.  Pizzas and sandwiches will be made available for purchase in the cafe and of course, wine and mulled cider will also be available.

Evernight Entertainment will once again be opening "Grimfell Asylum" Haunted Attraction in Traverse City.  This Fall The Asylum Doors Open...let the madness and screaming begin!!!  This year as last year, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the "Munson Breast Health Center".  The Asylum will be open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in October as well as November 1.  $7

Admission: $7 per person, $5 per person with a group of 10 or more.  Proceeds will be donated to a local charity.  On Sat. Oct 31st there will be a live band and costume contest.

Jacob's Corn Maze is an "A-Maze-ing" Farm Adventure."  Jacob's three separate corn mazes are fun for everyone, young and old alike.  Our pumpkin patch features "Super Freak" pumpkins.  Admission: Adults $8, kids 3 - 11 yrs $5, under 3 yrs Free.

The Dennos Museum Center at Northwestern Michigan College of Traverse City, Michigan will organize an exhibition consisting of 50 prints in observance of this significant 50^th Anniversary milestone.  Prints will be selected from the Museum's collection and represent each year of the 50 year history of Inuit printmaking beginning with 1959.  The museum holds prints from co-operatives including Baker Lake, Cape Dorset, Holman, Pangnirtung, as well as miscellaneous and independent co-operatives.  The prints exhibited will also include a Cape Dorset 2009 Annual Print Collection release.

The exhibition will open with the date of the annual release sale of the Cape Dorset 2009 Annual Print Collection.  This will also coincide with the annual meeting of the Inuit Art Society consisting of Inuit Art collectors throughout the United States who will meet at the Dennos Museum Center the weekend of the Annual Dorset Collection release.

This exhibition explores presidential papers from the likes of James Madison, John Adams, Abraham Lincoln, and George Washington as well as portraits of these important American leaders.  Presidential Papers and Portraits was organized in cooperation with the National Endowment for the Humanities' Picturing America Program.

Beginners and experienced dancers are invited to come enjoy an eclectic mix of dance styles including waltz, blues, swing/jitterbug, slowdance, tango, Latin (salsa, cha-cha), and more.  Participants will practice learned steps and discover new ones with dance instructor Mykl Werth and others on hand to assist.  Dance nights are available every Friday, Oct 23 to Dec 4 (except Nov 27).  Admission is $5 at the door.  No partner necessary.  Wear slippery-soled shoes.

Come with your own fright night mask (optional) and join the party as Street Drum Corp’s BANG returns to put on a high octane, adrenaline pumping performance using household items like buckets, kitchenware and aluminum garbage cans while made up in “fright night” makeup and costume.
